What is Miracle Strip Volleyball Academy?

The Miracle Strip Volleyball Academy, Inc. (EIN 59-3575295) is a public, non-profit organization, recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code and registered in the state of Florida. It is affiliated nationally with the United States Volleyball Association (USAV).

 

Other than the fees, what are the other expenses?

Your  team mom will ask you to volunteer sandwiches, fruit, water, etc to the tournament food table. There will be travel expenses. You may drive the morning of the tournament to the tournament site or stay the night before at a hotel. There will be one two day tournament that requires an overnight stay.

 

What is the tournament food table?

The tournament food table is provided by the parents so the players (and parents) can eat between matches. The coach will let the parents and players know what is acceptable food. The  team mom will contact parents for volunteers.

 

How many tournaments are there and when are they?

You will play in five tournaments. One of those is our local tournament. It is called "The Spring Fling". This year it is February 16th. You also will play in a two day tournament in Pensacola. The dates for that tournament is March 15th & 16th. The other three tournaments will be decided by team coaches, the players, and the parents in early January.
